I have a situation where I am needing to populate "user information" manually. This is a legacy system and the "user information" is basically composed of several different values coming from different tables. We already have a Data Access Class that returns these values but the problem is that it is not available globally like Profile object, so, in other words every time we need to access a property we have to create an instance of this DAO class and query the database.
Typically (for new apps at least) I would store this type of info rmation in the Profile object. However, since the tables and DAO are already there I was wondering if there is a way to populate the Profile object manually (this will be limited to memory only and Profile object will not be accessing the database) like for instance:
public class ProfileHelper() { public void PopulateProfile(string userName) { ... ...
