Ok, I have page with a gridview on it and when I select a record I use the modal popup extender to bring up a modal window to allow the user to edit the record... works great...
Problem is that on the modal popup, I have a drop down box and when the user selects something in the drop down box I have another drop down box that I want to populate based on what was selected in the first drop down box... I have a sub to do this and I was going to fire it off on the SelectedIndexChanged event, but the problem is that I can only first that off on post back (the drop down box has autopostback true)... but when we postback, the modal window goes away... and I can't fire off the SelectedIndexChanged event without a postback...
Any ideas?
Can I do this somehow with an update panel?
