I have been having a heck of time trying to setup reporting services due to jacked up settings in the existing sql server 2008 install. So I (thought) I uninstalled sql server 2008 and then I installed 2008 express with advanced tools. I then
was unable to get into the reporting config manager, I keep getting an "invalid namespace" error or "Unable to connect, depending on what I put in the server name field during login to reporting config.
I heard this could be due to some files from the previous instal, still floating around. So I went to add/remove and found 2 instances listed (SQL Express and MSSQLServer). Express is the new instal, so I tried to select MSSQLServer, but it is
not listed in the drop down, so I can select it. I verified the service for that instance were not running (Yes, there are services listed for both instances), but that was no help.
So, please give me some guidance or a good tutor ...
