Hello All,
I have viewed a few online tutorials and am ready to start trying some .net, but I'm having a problem getting things set up..
I'm used to the dreamweaver environment, with setting up sites and such, but it looks like visual studio doesnt have that -- you just enter the remote information and it connects.. so I got used to that, and i've even uploaded very simple pages, including postback actions, but i want to start working with the database and reading and writing to it -- but thats where i get hung up.
I have a virtual dedicated server through godaddy, which only has a MySQL database. I've had this environment from them for over a year and have been using it to run my asp pages, but the site in question was setup to support classic as and asp.net version 2.0.50726.0, with front page support enabled (read that somewhere..)
now when i open my domain in plesk, there is an asp.net icon...hot damn, which lists a connection string mana ...

Go to the complete details ...
