I have been using mysql until now, but recently i have switched to sql for different reasons (mysql & .net code first was not so much working...).
In the past (with mysql) I could copy a database on a remote server to a my local (dev) server in 2 lines :
mysqldump -h myremote.production.server -Q -u remoteUser -p --password=myComplicatePWD --add-drop-table myDatabase> c:\temp\dump.txtmysql -h localhost -u root myDatabase < c:\temp\dump.txt
Now how can I do this with SQL server ?
Please note that I use SQL Express 2008 R2 on the remote server & LocalDB (11.0.2100) on my desktop.
I have spent already 3 hours to try to find out a way, but I get stuck on errors : file locations, permissions, etc...
All this seems to be very complicated, but I m new to SQL. So I decided to ask the SQL pros ;-)
Thanks in advance for your feedback and advices ...
