I am working on one of the requirements and have an idea to implement it. Unfortunately I am not a good developer :)
It would be great if anyone of you help me with the script. Below is the need:
I am trying to develop a DB which would be part of a product. I am installing a SQL Server Express 2008 R2 DB engine.
Since it can hold the DB until 10 GB size, I wanted to automate a stored proc/script which would run every fortnight which check the size of all the databases and if the total DB size becomes 80% of 10 GB then it has to notify or email the team to take an
action.
If no one has taken an action and let it grow until 90% of 10 GB then it has to go and delete the 1st 10% of data from the largestdatabase..largest tables.
It would be a great help if one of you can help me with the script.
