I have an update panel that's tied to a timer.  In the css code I have some jquery that either shows or hides a set of div tags.  The show or hide is based on a hidden field, which is valued by the record count of the data it will show.  In short, if there is no data one div shows and informs the user there is no data or if there are records displays the data.  Everything works fine when the form is first rendered.  However when the update panel activates based on the timer, the jquery is bypassed.  Interestingly, when the update panel activates, in the code behind the hidden field is valued correctly.   I  put an alert dialog in the jquery and sure enough it shows the correct value when the form is first rendered, but after the update NO alert comes up after the update panel activates.  Is there a way to make this work?
Below is the aspx code for the panel, the jquery and the code behind.
Thanks,
Tom
