I am following some tutorial, and I found the security tab in Web Site Administration Tool isn't working. I'Ve recieved this error:
There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store.
The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: The database filename can not contain the following 3 characters: [ (open square brace), ] (close square brace) and ' (single quote)
I found some topic here, mentioning that addition of new adapter will fix it, but not for me. I've reinstalled Vista and Visual Studio 2008 (90 days trial) because of this error, and it's still there. The security tab isn't working for any project.
Any suggestions ? I'll appreciate them, thanks in advance.
