Which data type in SQL Server 2008 represents data in a Euclidean coordinate system?

There are two types of spatial data suppored by SQL Server, namely, GEOMETRY and GEOGRAPHY. The planar spatial data type, GEOMETRY, represents data in a Euclidean (flat) coordinate system. On the other hand, the GEOGRAPHY data types stores ellipsoidal (round-earth) data, such as GPS latitude and longitude coordinates.
