In our Team, we have 15 members (2 are Testers, 8 are Developers, 1 is Business Analyst, 4 are Senior developers)

So, We are planing to provide permissions for each members in our team...(for all 15 members)

So, What would be the best way to implement this process ?

I need detailed explanation with example on each steps. But, Please don't post any links.... :)

Thanks in advance

Ok.

Creating Server Role is not possible in SQL Server 2008 R2. This provision has been given in SQL Server "Denaly" version onwards..

So, You can proceed with the following way!

1. Create Database Role for each Group (Tester, Developer, BA, SDeveloper) in each databases.
2. Create Login for each individual members (15 Members)
3. Map the Login for each Database
4. Map each role with each Login
5. Grant permission for each Role what ever you want!

I hope it would help you!

Cheers
