Real TIme Progress bar with percentage of work completed?

Hello all,

I want to display the progress bar with the percentage of work completed in the server side. Progress bar must be updated regarding the work completed from the server. i Browsed many links but i didnt find a solution.Am stru ck with this have to complete today? Can anyone please guide me how to acheive this? Thanks in advance.
