Migrating a code from 3.5 to 4.0

Hi guys,

I had developed a three tier solution previously in VS2008 about a couple of years ago.
Now I want to migrate it to 4.0. Since I have had absolutely no touch in .NET for the past two years , I'm kinda skeptical.

Will you please tell me or help me find links for

1) Three tier architecture.
2) How to migrate a current solution to 4.0.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
