Need to generate Report from a Production Database

Hi ,

We have a production database which is busy throughout the day and need to generate report from the same. The tables undergoing inserts/updates will be used to select the data for the reports. Due to this I am facing low performance.

0	What makes it slow ? a select wont make it slow unless you are not selecting wisely. show us an example of your report Query and when you mean "busy" can you elaborate more clearer.
