Without knowing JQuery can I learn Angular JS?

I was involve in a project in which we didnt worked on JQuery. Now Angular JS is in demand. Can I work in Angular JS without learning JQuery?

0	Yes, of course. However knowing jQuery would have been a plus. Learn TypeScript as the preferred way of writing AngularJS code is through http://techfunda.com/howto/typescript. I would suggest you can learn AngularJS 1 first (http://techfunda.com/howto/angularjs ) as it will familiarize you with many concepts of what you can do in AngularJS and then go for AngularJS 4. If you have less time, you can directly go for Angular4 and be ready to struggle initially but thats exciting.
