0	.NET is a framework to create a website or web application or desktop or console application. In .NET you can create a website in ASP.NET Web Forms or ASP.NET MVC. ASP.NET Web Form is older technologies so better to use MVC. Here is the ASP.NET MVC tutorials for .NET Framework - http://techfunda.com/howto/asp-net-mvc . The latest version of .NET is .NET Core (earlier version if .NET Framework). Use .NET core version of MVC to create the website that would be good.
