Opener is NULL or Not an Object

Hello,

I have a Main page where in there is a Link Button named Add company besides a company Drop Down List. When the user clicks on this link button a pop up window opens wherein the user enters the Company and clicks on the Save. When the user closes this browser window (The PopUp Window) the newly added company should be reflected in the Drop Down List on my Main Page. I am getting the desired result at present. However, i am getting a javascript error saying 'Opener' is null or not an object. I am using IE 8 browser.

How to overcome this Error??

Please help it is urgent......
