Suggestion Regardaing Intimating Updates

Hi WebMaster,

Presently if a registered user visits and updates any thread in (Interview,Articles,Codes,Forums) these sections you have been sending mails that a particular thread has been updated. I Feel it will be dificult to find all the updates using mails.I will also specify a reason for it most of the companies block mail servers so it is tough as a developer perspective to check mails all the time.This some times will also delay in responding. As it happend to me once. So can we have a column called Recent Messages column in our profile and we can update the same message there what you usally send to mails ? How about this ?

If we post any new question or if we get any answer for our question we generally get a mail stating the reason that particular thread has been updated .
ex- A new answer has been posted. or A new comment has been posted for article

So insted of sending those mails why dont we have an option in profile like an inbox field where all the alerts and updates can directly be verified here it self rather than going into our actual mail accounts ..

If u still didnt understood tell me will elaborate more clearly..
