Article Posting suggestions

Hi Webmaster,

Today i posted the first article in dotnetfunda, it was really a tough time to get this completed since i can't able to really understand the interface to add the contents along with the image which comes under step by step.

My suggestion would be we can have an option to really upload a document file (.doc or .docx) which can directly upload the contents for the article in step by step. Im not sure this facility is already available in dotnetfunda. if its really available then also for a new user to post an article, we couldn't really see this option in the article posting section. This option will reduce most of the tough times for the article submitting users.

So we can make a user friendly version of this article posting section to have better productivity.

Thanks
Karthik

Dear Karthik,

I appreciate your suggestion and we are sorry to hear that you have faced difficulty while submitting the article.

My initial thought about uploading the .doc or .docx file is that we can upload these documents directly if they have only text contents, as parsing the text can be done from MS Word however parsing the image and saving on the server from the MS Word doc seems cumbersome and not sure how feasible it is; we shall see if it is possible. If you have any idea, kindly let us know.

We have a dedicated email id to submit article to the website so in case you will face any problem in future, kindly send your article to "[submit{@}dotnetfunda.com]" mentioning your username and we shall publish them on your behalf. More details on this is http://www.dotnetfunda.com/misc/page10.aspx.

I agree that we need to keep the link of Write for us (http://www.dotnetfunda.com/misc/page10.aspx ) on the Submit Article page and we shall do it very soon.

Should you have any further question on this, kindly let us know.

Best regards,
Webmaster

Thanks webmaster for your comments,

Ill check online for any options to have upload the doc and wot are the feasible options to have a better article submission here and let u know...

And as you mentioned Write to us will be one for the good option to have in articles submission page and also a link to have any step by step process of submting the article (like how to upload the image after a paragraph, and how to insert it in the editing area etc..) which will be more useful to the users as well.

Thanks
Karthik
