Regarding Ranking System in DotNetFunda

I don't know the exact figure of how many registered users are there in our site. I feel basing on the contributions and quality posts , can we have a ranking done right from 1 to the last person who was just entered into the world of DNF . This would make a particular user be more respectable with a good rank.

These ranks should be reshuffeled every week. Basing on that week contributions ...

Thank you very much for the suggestion and I must say it is well thought!

Currently, we have following ways to recognize the members contribution

1. Level - Appears on the members profile - calculated automatically based on the number of times they have been declared as Winner.

2. Top Contributors - Displayed on the home page - calculated based on the number of contribution they have made

3. Top Community Leaders - Displayed on the home page - calculated based on the number of points earned by contributing in different sections

4. Top XXXX Leaders - Displayed on every section - calculated based on the number of points earned by contributing to that specific section.

I think the suggestion you have given can be implemented once we have added the voting mechanism to all the different sections and the more votes a member gates in different section, the better rank he will be allocated.

Please let me know if this looks good to you all and we shall consider implementing it.

This is what exactly i thought of. Because when a member is allocated a rank that show s his respectability and responsibility in the website increases. So there after we get more quality posts and genuine answers in the forms section can be achieved.

The implementation you were taking about is absolutely fine. Hope this would come into action soon....
