Help ON Dividing page in to 2 parts

Hi
I Need to display 2 links with text Test1 and Test2 in 10% Of Page and the respective contents of pages n other part(90%)in a vertical manner.How to do this .Give me some idea.It's very urgent when clicked on link,by default content related to test1 should be showm
