hi experts
i have one .bak (db backup file). how to identity the backups are valid and can be restored without any error ?

Hi Sarvesh
It will list the Logical Name, Physical Path, Size and LSN information (or) It will throw an Err :
RESTORE
FILELISTONLY
FROM DISK='<BACKUP FILE PATH>'
It will confirm that the Backupfile can be readable / not (or) It will throw an Err :
RESTORE
VERIFYONLY
FROM DISK='<BACKUP FILE PATH>'
