Installing SharePoint 2013.

After installing all SharePoint prerequisites, we will start installation of SharePoint 2013.
  1. Open Splash.hta file from media and Click on “Install SharePoint Server”.

  2. Insert a valid Product Key for SharePoint 2013 and click on continue button.

  3. Select , “I accept the terms of this agreement” option and then click on continue button

  4. On “Server Type” tab select “Complete” option and click on “Install Now”.

  5. Wait for few Minutes to complete the installation.

  6. On Run Configuration Wizard Page, select “Run the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard now” option and click on close.Wait for few minutes’ to open SharePoint Product configuration wizard.

  7. On “Welcome to SharePoint Products” Page click on Next.

  8. Click On “Yes”, to restart the services during configuration.

  9. On “Connect to a server farm” page, select “Create a new Server farm” option and click on next.

  10. On “Specify Configuration Database Settings” Section , 

      • For Database Server, write the name of database server: COCSITSP\SPSQL.
      • For Database Name, write: Sharepoint_Config.

    In “Specify Database Access Account” Section,
      • For User Name, Write: COCSIT\SP_Farm
      • For password, write: password of user COCSIT\SP_Farm.

  11. On “Specify Farm Security Settings” page, type an appropriate passphrase.

  12. On “Configure SharePoint Central Administration Web Application”, page

      • For Specify port Number, write: 5555.
      • Choose NTLM as authentication provider.
      • Click on Next.

  13. On “Completing the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard” page, click on next.

  14. Wait for few minutes, to complete the SharePoint configuration. 

  15. Make sure that your SharePoint configuration is Successful.
    Click on finish to close wizard and launch SharePoint Central Administration website to continue SharePoint configuration.

  16. On Central administration site, for the Customer Experience Improvement Program, I am going to choose “No, I don’t wish to participate”. Click on Ok.

  17. Click on Cancel to close configuration wizard.

    Note:By using this configuration wizard, we can create and configure service application for our SharePoint environment.We will run this configuration wizard again after installation of Project Server 2013.

    If you need only SharePoint environment, you can start this wizard here immediately and choose appropriate service application and service account for your SharePoint Environment.
