Hi Tharun,
Expertise is something that cannot be earned overnight. It requires lot of hard work. Basics of .NET play a crucial role to help in your journey towards an expert.
You will need to work with people who have lot of technical capabilities and will need their mentoring. Doing so will help you attain an experience in lesser time frame that the person who's mentoring you.
Certifications will help you explore .NET framework and master them. However, it doesn't help you apply the right concept in the right place so a mentor is certainly needed.
Almost all MNCs have openings on .NET so this is not something picky where only a few companies offer openings on .NET.
Since you are a fresher, if you know someone who is good at .NET take that person's help. If not, Google is your mentor! :). Take a realtime application, MSDN has lots of examples and analyse how a business problem can be solved with a technical solution.
Good Luck!
cheers,
Dheeraj.
