Rajesh's Advice on Saturday, May 08, 2010 :
Given the pace with which Microsoft is positioning SharePoint, its definitely a good choice to master this product. But before that it will be of great advantage if you understand the basics of .net including c#, asp.net, javascript, httpmodules, httphandlers, iis, webparts, usercontrols, globalization, authentication mechanism and other critical elements of basic web development. Also get a good grip on WF (Workflow foundation) as well.
Also understanding of some basic theoretical concepts like content management, content types, document management, content authoring/publishing, workflow etc will help you get the business sense for this product.
Happy learning!!!
