sir i want my career in Dot net

about me

I had just completed my B.E. from MDU rohtak and would like to go for language Dot net for my future
I have basic knowledge of C, VB, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Core Java and SQL Server

I Would like to go for

OOAD using C#
ASP.NET ver 4.0
SQL Server

Could u please sugggest me the best material which i can get in them and get a good skills in them
you can refer online material or Books or Paid Training but i want the best in them.

Your choice of technologies to focus on at this initial stage is very precise. Your primary focus should be to build a strong foundation at this point.Most good programmers became good mainly by self-study, I can recommend the below:

  • C# - Jesse Liberty (O'reilly)
  • OOAD¬† - Grady Booch (This is not an easy book to digest - but can be mastered with effort)
  • SQL Server - SQL Server 2008 internals by Kalen Delaney (MS Press) ( Check out her site -
  • Asp.Net - Beginning ASP.NET 4: in C# and VB by Imar Spaanjaars
  • RDBMS - C.J.Date ( You need to build a good understanding of RDBMS, this is the book I have used)
