This is Chandra.Iam having 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Technologies(ASP.Net,VB.Net,C#.Net and SQL Server).Now iam planning to change the technology from coding(fully programming) to non coding(partial programming).Is this is a good time to change the technology,If yes,Could you please suugest which technology will be better.
Some of the friends are suggesting to go for MSBI since already worked on .Net and some are suggesting OBIEE or Hyperion or BusinessObjects or Cognos.
Please suggest on this.

This is a good point of time in your career to check the direction in which it is going. After 4 years of hard-core programming you can either move on to the architectural or managerial path (check below links) or specialize in areas like the database administration or data warehousing.

Data warehousing which you have chosen is indeed a niche area. However, the fundamentals remain the same here also. You need to get a clear grip on ETL concepts and then start looking at tools. Moreover, you can also aim to become what is now being termed as "data architect"
