Vishwas's Advice on Tuesday, July 02, 2013 :
In technology area, the actual skill set one possesses not necessarily associated with education but for many organizations, the specific education qualifications matter as such education can imbibe the much needed background and information. And in INDIA where the resource are available in plenty, the organization can cut down on recruitment cost by applying filter criteria on qualifications and also there is a stereotype established around qualifications. Overseas there are many brilliant programmers who don't have any technical or engineering qualification but out here, the qualifications can play major role whether its right or wrong.
So essentially along with of focusing to find the right place with current qualifications, an attempt can be made to enhance the qualifications. Part time MCA or BE (& AMIE) is available and this can be accomplished while working.BITS PILANI is one of reputed institutes which could offer qualitative and expansive education. This would call for some long term planning of next 2-5 years but this can  pay really rich dividends down the line as sometimes not having specific qualification could be only difference between hearing YES or NO.

ALL THE BEST.

Cheers, Vishwas
