After that i took a break for bringing up my kid. i want to work again, so from should i start. Is there any other option other than teaching and IT industry for my qualification.

Vishwas's Advice on Monday, June 24, 2013 :
There are many opportunities in Govt organizations for engineers and also many research avenues in universities as well as different organizations. The advertisements can be seen in daily newspapers and also on Govt websites. Though you haven't mentioned the stream of engineering, you may want to explore accordingly. Upgrading the qualification can also be a good choice which would give you the opportunities to broaden the horizon and job prospectus.
Freelancing is an alternative where once can work from home and still keep working on live projects.

Hope this helps.
